Individual Online Therapy in Ontario

How I Work

How I Work

You probably already have a sense of what’s not working, or at least a theory. You’ve tried your best to fix it, but all that thinking hasn’t brought relief. That’s because what drives us or holds us back often can’t be reached through analysis alone. It lives in the body, in implicit memory, in the parts of us shaped by overwhelming moments we had to face without enough safety or support. I work with people who are self-aware but still feel stuck in emotional pain they may understand intellectually, yet remain lost inside.

This is where experiential therapy comes in. It’s not about analyzing from detached distance. It’s about entering the experience directly, with curiosity, slowness, and intention. This is active work, and my role is to have your back while making sure we go at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your system.

That might mean:

  • Noticing body sensations and impulse signals

  • Using imagination to access unconscious material

  • Working with images, symbols, or archetypes

  • Actively engaging with emotion instead of just talking about facts

This kind of deep exploration is valuable in and of itself. But if you're wanting something to shift, we also work with your brain’s built-in capacity for change. The kind of transformation I support is grounded in the science of memory reconsolidation, which is your brain’s natural ability to revise old, deeply held emotional learnings at its source.

All of this happens through a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens. That means I see your pain in the context of systems, not just symptoms. I honour your lived experience, reject pathologizing narratives, stay accountable to the ways power and identity show up in therapy, and hold a deep belief in your liberation. Let's begin.

Person navigating grief and emotional overwhelm, searching for a space to be met and understood.

These are the foundations of my approach. Feel free to explore at your own pace.

Who I Work With

Who I Work With

The people I work with are often self-aware, thoughtful, and resourceful, yet still feel stuck or overwhelmed. You might recognize yourself here:

  • You’re self-aware, intellectually sharp, and know your own story. Maybe you’ve even spent years in talk therapy, but something still isn’t shifting.

  • You feel stuck in anxious loops, overthinking everything, spinning in analysis, and still not finding relief.

  • You’re highly functional and composed on the outside, but inside you feel rigid, disconnected, or numb. Perfection feels like safety, and even small disruptions feel unbearable.

  • You take care of everyone else and say yes when you really mean no. It’s led to burnout and left you unsure of what you truly need.

  • You often feel overwhelmed, even in situations that don’t seem that "big". Things feel like too much, too fast, and you don’t always know why.

  • You fall back on old coping strategies like substances, gaming, or shopping, but they don’t bring the relief they once did.

  • You’re stuck in indecision, circling through pros and cons without clarity, and each attempt leaves you more disoriented.

  • You’re in a major life transition, such as a move, a new relationship, a career change, or becoming a parent. Instead of feeling happy, you feel unsettled, disappointed, or guilty.

  • You’re grieving a loss, whether it is someone, something, or even a former version of yourself.

  • You’re living with chronic illness, disability, or a new or terminal diagnosis that is reshaping how you see yourself and how others relate to you.

  • You’re queer, non-monogamous, kinky, or a sex worker, and you want therapy without judgment, assumptions, or having to explain the basics.
